 Atlantis HotelResort is an great place to stay on the Island of Nassau. It's is the best resort on the island. It's the best place for partying, water park, marine life and tons of fun. However, everything is expensive there. My advice for you is to eat somewhere else. There are many nice diners in the Cable Beach for a more reasonable price, requires a taxi ride. Buy gifts elsewhere for better price. If however, you buy expensive items on vacation, like diamond, pearl necklace, it is safer to buy it in the resort for security and authenticity reason. Don't buy expensive items in small stores. Also, everything on the Island is more expensive than the US mainland. Some merchants in Nassau are not friendly towards foreigners. You just need to be aware of that.
This is a great destination to go for a family trip. Everything you need is right there within walking distance: water slides, pools, beaches, restaurants, shopping, casino, marine life activities, and much much more! This is a prime example of a true resort. We didn't need to carry cash around
very often since almost every place could apply the charges to our room key. (Expect food prices to be really inflated though.) The only problem we did have was with the housekeeping forgetting to give us a new set of towels one day and not providing the coffee packet refills which had obviously been used. It was irritating at the time, but minor compared to all the fun memories we had. All the locals were very friendly and helpful. Overall one of our best vacations ever!
